Indeed. I have a theory that if they had condensed the plot to 30 or so odd episodes that the series would have been kick-ass. Unfortunately, we know this is not the case. |

I think it would have needed, like, 70 or so to do justice to the manga. Not that the manga didn't have filler, but at least the manga filler was better than "The Woman Who Loved Sesshoumaru". Which, in case you were wondering, is why I fucking stopped watching Inuyasha to begin with. I've been trying to finish the series so I can watch Final Act, and so I've been watching an episode here and there on Hulu. I backtracked to catch myself up , since I didn't really pay too much attention to the last few episodes I watched and that was about five years ago. Then I got to...THAT. THAT. SHIT. That decided to scrap half the series' important plot points. Such as-
Sesshoumaru not giving a shit about anyone. (EXCEPT RIN, FUCK YOU, SCRIPT WRITERS)
Youkai being unable to touch Tessaiga (FUCK YOU SCRIPT WRITERS)
Inuyasha-gumi genereally tries to avoid helping Sesshoumaru when possible (FUCK. YOU. SCRIPT WRITERS)
We've already done the "TAKEN OVER BY DEMONS AND BECAME A DEMONS ZOMG" plot line. IT RESULTED IN NARAKU. (FUCK YOU SCRIPT WRITERS!!!!!)
Sara was not somehow sympathetic. She just made me want to eat her alive, and then I kept wondering why Sesshoumaru didn't do exactly that. (FUCK. YOU. SCRIPT WRITERS!)
