A New Year, A New Group (01/01/10)

[Saho Tomomi]

Tomochii nodded and went to put rice  and water in it...but too much rice for the amount of water she put into it. She tried to turn it on"Okay....how does this thing work, Tanaka-san? I think i got enough water but I do not know...."She looked completely lost as she tried to get it to turn on,she  even hit it on the top a couple of times.

[Kimura Atsuko]

Atsuko looked up briefly, just long enough to drag a tangerine (even that felt heavy at this time of morning) her way.  She brought it to her mouth, but decided she didn't have the patience to peel it and instead left it sitting there, staring at it rather than eating it.
"Okay.  Assignments.  I can... I can survive that I think.  And Saho, please stop abusing the rice maker.  I will not be happy if one of the five things I actually enjoy eating during the season disappears.  Let Aya do it.  She can teach you how to work it later."
She presently realized that she was fogging up the table, sat up, and rubbed it with the sleeve of her robe.

[Saho Tomomi]

"Sorry!"Tomochii stepped away from the ricecooker and hoped she did no damage to it. She moved to sit down and looked AWAY from Kimura to keep from her wrath.

[Mutou Asuna]

Mutou woke from her dead sleep to her cell phone's ringtone of Tell Me Your Wish by SNSD. Mutou slipped off her sock and stuffed her phone in it and left it on her nightstand. She slugged to the mirror and noticed that Sayaka was already gone. Mutou pulled her hair up in a bun at the top of her head and dressed herself out in dance pants and an Aeropostale t-shirt with some pink slippers. The other group members did not understand her fascination with Aeropostable and usually dismissed it as Asuna's American heritage taking root.

She gave a smile to those gathered in the kitchen and slid in at the table and immediately rested her head against the wall. So sleepy at this time. Mutou gave a big yawn and gave Mariko at thumbs up for the Eggs. It was her way of approving something.

[Ogawa Aya]

Aya smiled sheepishly and started the rice cooker for Mariko before glancing around the room at everyone else's attire. After a moment she chuckled at herself and her vintage nightdress. It really was vintage...she'd gotten it from her grandmother.

"I'm going to go change. Don't want to get my pajamas dirty!"

The rice cooker would survive without her for the time it took her to change. She  scampered off down the hallway and into her room to browse her closet. She quickly threw on a tunic length lavender gingham top with straps that criss crossed in the back and a pair of dark grey yoga pants. Before she left the room, she rearranged her hair into a high pony tail and put on some peppermint chapstick before heading back to the kitchen.

The smell of the eggs hit her as she went back on the kitchen and her stomach growled loudly. She took a deep breath as she sauntered over to check the rice cooker before asking "How much longer on the eggs Mariko?"

[Kimura Atsuko]

"Eggs.  Pah.  And, Saho, you're too skiddish.  I wouldn't be in Kaori Basket very long if I bit the heads off of every single person who has ever broken the rice cooker. . . believe me you wouldn't be the first person to have done so.  Hell, I think I did it when I first got here.  Aya remembers.  She can tell you."

[Saho Tomomi]

"Rich girl that knows how to work everything but cooking appliances. It is going to be fun around here  learning otherwise."She said with a blush and a shrug.

[Ogawa Aya]

Aya smiled at Saho as she left the ricemaker to its business. "My family owns a restaurant in Kyoto so I know my way around the kitchen. When I was younger I used to help out when it got really busy." 

Then Atsuko had to go and mention the rice cooker incident. Seeing she had been given permission to tell the story, she couldnt' resist. "When Atsuko was new to Kaori Basket she got really hungry one night when me and her stayed up playing DDR so she decided to go the kitchen and get a snack. Well, she wasn't thinking and she put the water in it and then put in the microwave... it wasn't pretty. Oh Atsuko stop looking like that, do you want me to peel the tangerine for you? Wake up or I'll go get Sailor Moon!" She said, hoping not to get killed for her ability to get energy quickly once she bothered to crawl out of bed.

[Saho Tomomi]

"Oh my...glad you two are okay though. I would love to take lessons so a repeat incident doesn't happen."She managed a grin and even a small giggle before shutting up.

[Mutou Asuna]

"Ah, I can't believe Ken hid all the ramen packets. His health food craze is driving me crazy!" sighed Mutou as she plopped her elbows on the table and stared dreamily in front of her. As if she could almost grab a package of ramen now.
